Frequently asked

Answers before you have to ask.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular dates (Friday/Saturday evenings, June–October) book up 9–12 months out. That said, if you're closer to your date, reach out anyway — check availability first, since openings do come up.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Seacoast DJ & Marketing Services, LLC is fully licensed and insured, and happy to provide a certificate of insurance (COI) directly to your venue if they require one.

Can we make song requests, or give you a do-not-play list?

Always. Every event starts with a planning conversation covering must-plays, do-not-plays, and the moments that matter most to you — we build the set from there, and take live requests from guests within the boundaries you set.

What's included in a standard wedding package?

A DJ and MC for your reception, a professional sound system, wireless mics for toasts and announcements, and access to the online planning tool to build your timeline and music together. Lighting, video, and ceremony audio are available as add-ons — see packages above.

Do you MC the whole event?

Yes — introductions, toasts, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, last call, all of it. You tell us the moments you want highlighted (or skipped), and we run the timeline so you're not the one checking a watch on your wedding day.

How does the online planning tool work?

Once you're booked, you get a login to build your timeline, music preferences, and special announcements together with Bill — and you can go back and edit details anytime up until the event, so nothing has to be finalized months in advance.

What's your booking process?

Check your date, submit a quote request, and we'll set up a short call or meeting to talk through your vision. A signed contract and a reservation deposit of 25% of your total event price — applied toward your final balance — secures your date.

What if we need to cancel or change our date?

Reservation deposits are non-refundable, since they hold your date and kick off the planning process right away. If your plans change, reach out as soon as possible — rescheduling to a new date is often possible if we're available. Full cancellation and rescheduling terms are spelled out in your booking contract.

Do you bring backup equipment?

Yes — I bring a backup audio source to every event, so a single piece of gear failing doesn't put your reception at risk.
